Recognizing Foreign Degrees

To work in regulated professions (like architecture, medicine, or teaching) or to pursue a PhD, you must have your foreign degree recognized by DGES. The process is now largely digital but requires an apostilled diploma and transcript.

There are two types: "Automatic Recognition" (faster, for degrees from EU/OECD countries with similar structures) and "Specific Recognition" (slower, requires a panel review). Prices range from €27.90 to over €500 depending on the complexity.
