Exchanging Your Driving License

You have 90 days after getting your residency card to start the exchange process with IMT. For many countries, you can keep driving, but you must register your intent.

The process requires a medical certificate (Atestado Médico) which you can easily get from a private doctor or your Centro de Saúde for a small fee.
