Fiscal Representative for Non-EU

If you reside outside the EU (like in Turkey), you legally cannot get a NIF without a Fiscal Representative (Representante Fiscal). This person must be a Portuguese resident or company.

They accept responsibility for receiving your tax notifications until you move to Portugal. Once you have your residency card and change your address to Portugal, you can remove the representative.
