Regulated Professions (Ordens)

In Portugal, you cannot practice certain professions (Doctor, Architect, Engineer, Lawyer, Psychologist) just by having a degree. You must register with the respective "Ordem Profissional".

This often involves proving your qualifications, paying registration fees, and sometimes completing an internship or exam. Practicing without this registration is a crime (Usurpação de Funções).
