AIMA Residency Card Fees

While the AIMA appointment is free or low-cost, issuing the residency card carries a significant fee. For initial temporary residence permits, the fee is approximately €170 per person.

You must pay this on the day of your appointment, usually via Multibanco (card) at the counter. Cash is often not accepted. Renewals are cheaper, typically costing around €30-€40 if done online.
