D6 Visa: Family Reunification

The D6 visa allows family members of a legal resident to join them in Portugal. This covers spouses, minor children, and dependent parents (over 65). It is not for extended family like siblings or cousins.

The main resident must prove they have suitable housing and sufficient income to support the family. Note that getting an appointment for family members is currently one of the slowest processes in the AIMA system.
